Having been a minnow for two and a half months now, I have had the pleasure of being a part of a number of…interesting moments here at the minnow PROJECT. Go ahead, take a moment and dive head first into some of the shenanigans we are so very proud of here at the pond.

TOP TEN INTERN MOMENTS (in no particular order)

10. SUMP Quotes

“I got game” is just one of the noteworthy expressions that have leaked out, typically by Marty, during a delicious minnow provided meal. The intense conversation usually ends up in an unintentional, lunch-ending declaration. Truly a great time with the members of the pond.

9. Minnow Christmas Party

The big sha-bang. This was by far the most entertaining time I have had in an office in a long time. We “worked” (watched hilarious videos found on the Internet) for most of the morning, then let loose when the Qdoba hit the conference room table. Exchanging gifts, drinking spirits, and toasts to fellow minnows were just a few of the activities that kept us all in the holiday spirit…and Just Dance 2.

8. Friday at 4:00

The week of my 21^st birthday I finally was able to enjoy a cold refreshment with my coworkers. This is a tradition I can get used to.

7. “Karaoke While You Work”

I once heard someone describe the musical talent here at the pond as “A delightful mix of Boyz II Men and Janis Joplin.” I couldn’t have said it better myself.

6. Friday Sundaes

Beer and ice cream…my two favorite things to consume. Thanks to Tracy who survived the “pre-blizzard storm rush” at the local grocery store JUST to make her coworkers happy.

5. …Work

I’ll be short and sweet…it is awesome to actually be a part of an account. Doing work that is actually used in a project is quite a blessing for a young advertising student.

4. Erintern Bashing

I won’t say when, where, or how…but it also brings a smile to my face when she gives us a reason to really let her have it. Thanks for being a good sport!

3. “Honk Horn”

As clever as we thought it was, our Friday afternoon attempt to get cars to honk as us while standing in the window with our shirts raised failed miserably. We got a lot of finger pointing and laughing. A minor victory.

2. My First Pho

I don’t remember seeing a whole lot after my first few bites, as the uncontrollable eye watering and perspiring hit me like a fire hose. It was the best painful meal I have ever eaten. I haven’t been back since.

1. Winterfest 2012

A shot glass, 20+ vendors offering free samples of beer, an order of French fries, a Boulevard draft, and a Lakers game…need I say more?
